  • No External Transmission: The extension does not transmit any data to external servers. All communication occurs securely between the browser extension and a locally installed desktop application.

  • Secure Communication: Data between the browser extension and the companion desktop application is securely transmitted using Chrome Native Messaging.
  • Policy-Based Responses: When configured by the local controller (e.g., parents, teachers, administrators), the extension can enforce policies such as closing restricted tabs. These actions are performed based on local configurations and are not shared externally.

  • Explicit Installation: The extension can only operate when it has been explicitly installed and enabled by the user. Users must also install a companion desktop application for the extension to function properly.
  • Inactive Without Companion Application: The extension remains inactive and non-functional without the local desktop application. No data is collected or transmitted in the absence of the companion application.
